We're Gearing Up For the 2010/2011 Home Snowmaking Season

It is hard to believe that the 2010/2011 Home Snowmaking Season is just around the corner. In just a few short weeks, some of you will be able to start making snow. After a brutally hot summer, we cannot wait to make snow this winter. Let's all hope Mother Nature gives us plenty of cold temps again this winter. Last season was a fantastic season for everyone, including for those of you in the deep south.

To say the least it has been a VERY busy summer here at SnowStorm Snowmaking. Hence why we did not post on our blog since the end of last season. We are pleased to announce we have a few new products for this upcoming season including 3gpm and 5gpm home snowmaking pumps that run on 115 volts and ship via UPS/FEDEX Ground! We spent two seasons perfecting these snowmaking pumps and are sure you will be amazed at how much snow they can crank out when the temps get cold enough! We also have some changes coming to our snowmaker line along with complete snowmaking system packages that include everything you need to make snow in your yard!

Our new website for the 2010/2011 Home Snowmaking Season should be online within the next two weeks. Normally we try to have it ready to go by the end of August, but due to some last minute changes to our snowmakers, we had to push it back into September. All of our new products listed above will be on the new website.

Let's all hope for another great home snowmaking season! Think Cold and Think Snow!

Thanks for a Wonderful Season!

On behalf of everyone here at SnowStorm Snowmaking we would just like to thank everyone who helped make this season our best one yet. The 2009/2010 winter season proved to be a great one for snowmaking. Even those in the deep south had temps into the teens and low 20's back in January for an extended period of time.

Although the season has just ended, we are already getting ready for the 2010-2011 winter season. Keep checking back in here on the blog throughout the next few months for updates on what we are working on for next season.

As our winter season ends, it is just beginning for those in the southern hemisphere. Keep in mind that we operate year round and will ship any of our products worldwide all year long.

If you are looking to beat the heat this summer while you wait for winter to return, check out our Aqua Misters website to view all of our water misters and misting systems.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this season a great one!

Pictures from Justin in TN

Justin in Lenoir City, TN purchased a kit 4 snowmaker from us back in November. He used the snowmaker to make snow in his backyard so that he and his friends could go skiing and snowboarding. Justin says he has been able to maintain a 12" base since 12/29/09 thanks to the unseasonably cool weather in his area this winter.

Photos From DJ in CT

Here are a few pictures DJ in Connecticut sent into us. DJ has one of our "Big Guns", the Venom Snowmaker that he uses in conjunction with his 185cfm air compressor. As you can see from the amount of snow made, the Venom Snowmaker makes a lot of snow FAST.

Picture from Pamela in Louisiana

Pamela in Louisiana always sends in pictures to us after she makes snow. A few years ago she purchased a home snowmaking kit from us and this year purchased a Vector Excel Snowmaker. The picture above was taken after a few short hours of snowmaking using the Vector Excel Snowmaker and small electric pressure washer. As you can see, it made enough snow for a snowman!

Excel Series Snowmakers Available With or Without Stand

We have now made the Vector, Avalanche, and Veyron Excel Snowmakers available either with or without the stand. The snowmaker comes with pre-drilled mounting holes on all sides of the snowmaker allowing you to use screws or nails to mount the snowmaker. You could even use chicken bands or clamps to attach the snowmaker to the side of a fence post or ladder.

We made these snowmakers available without stands for people who want to make their own stand as a project. We also made them available without a stand so that they would be affordable to ship via Next Day Air Service since they can ship in a compact box.

Noel Made the Local TV News!

Noel from Irmo, SC who has been featured several times on our blog, made his local TV news with his home snowmaker. Noel bought our plans and snowmaking nozzles to build both a garden hose and pressure washer snowmaker. His pressure washer snowmaker was used during the news broadcast.
