Used Rental Snowmaker Sale
As the 2008/2009 winter snowmaking season comes to a close, we are getting ready to sell off the snowmakers that we used as rentals this past season. These snowmakers should be available for sale by mid March.
All of the snowmakers we will be selling were manufactured for the 2008/2009 season. Each year we sell off our rental snowmakers at the end of the season at discounted prices since we put new snowmakers into our rental program each year.
All snowmakers will be checked and serviced before they are sold. We bring all snowmakers to meet refurbished specifications. All towers and stands are freshly painted and we install new snowmaking nozzles on the snowmaker. All snowmakers will still come with a warranty just as if they were purchased brand new. Although the snowmakers were used, they are shipped looking like brand new.
These snowmakers are available in limited quantity, so if you are interested please contact us right away to reserve a unit for yourself. These units will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Prices for used snowmakers:
Maverick Snowmaker: $139.99 + $40 shipping
Vector Snowmaker: $279.99 + $40 shipping
Avalanche Snowmaker: $304.99 + $40 shipping
Veyron Snowmaker: $329.99 + $40 shipping
We also have some Excel Series Snowmakers available that were used as demos this past winter. These too will be brought to refurbished standards and come with a full warranty as if purchased brand new. Please note that these snowmakers may not all have the zinc fittings below the nucleation valve or at the top water connection. Instead they may have high pressure steel or brass fittings. The rest of the snowmaker is made from high pressure aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
Excel Series Snowmakers have a maximum of two hours use on them.
TRIPODS ARE NOT INCLUDED AT THESE PRICES

Back in mid February DJ in Connecticut purchased a snowmaker from our parent company that designs and manufactures snowmakers for ski areas. The snowmaker he purchased is the big brother to our Maverick Hybrid Snowmaker. Both snowmakers make snow the same way, except the snowmaker DJ purchased is an all metal version that mounts to a tripod.
DJ ran his snowmaker off of a 185cfm tow behind compressor. He has city water with approximately 30gpm@90PSI. With his compressor he is able to flow a maximum of about 18.5gpm depending upon what the wetbulb temperature is. The above photos were taken after a single 8 hour overnight run running the snowmaker. He adds that the snowmaker was not running at full capacity until near the end the run when temperatures got cold enough to max the snowmaker out at 18.5gpm with the installed nozzle. He says the picture of the whale (pile of snow) is about 4 to 4.5 feet deep.
DJ sent us these pics back in February, except we are just getting around to uploading them now.
