The winter season is now upon us and many of us have started to make snow for the year. All of us at SnowStorm Snowmaking want to remind you that we encourage you to refrain from making snow if you live in a drought affected area. This is mainly in the Southeastern parts of the United States where rain lacked this summer.
In some areas the droughts are so bad that water restrictions are in place. If you are caught using water that is not deemed necessary (making snow) you could be fined for violating the water restriction. Check with your local government if you are unsure if your area is under a water restriction.
We know you want to make snow in your backyard this winter, but we ask you to consider saving water if you live in a drought affected area.
